April Bloomfield is the executive chef and co-owner (with Ken Friedman) of the Michelin-starred The Spotted Pig, The Breslin and the John Dory restaurants. She comes from Birmingham, England, and planned to be a policewoman when she grew up. Instead, she ended up training at the River Cafe under Ruth Rogers and Rose Gray (her mentors).
